On September 17 2009, in an attempt to highlight just how effective the much debated approach of authenticating medicines at the point of dispense in the pharmacy is, the University of Leuven on behalf of patient safety communications company Aegate, revealed findings of its much anticipated independent audit of its authentication system - the only fully operational system of its kind in Europe.
